920 Hemp Tree Free Sketch
Aquabee tree free hemp sketch paper is made from 100% recycled materials: 25% hemp and 75% recycled (no virgin pulp is used).
Hemp fiber is stronger and softer than cotton and lasts twice as long. Hemp is the world's most promising source of tree-free paper and is grown as a sustainable crop. Because of its low lignin content, hemp can be pulped using less chemicals than with wood. Its natural brightness can obviate the need to use chlorine bleach, which means no extremely toxic dioxin being dumped into streams, and uses less chemicals in the manufacturing process than does paper made from trees.
The quality of hemp paper is superior to tree-based paper. Hemp paper is acid free and will last hundreds of years without degrading, and can be recycled many more times than tree-based paper.
Bee hemp paper is an excellent choice for the environmentally conscious multi-media artist. The lightly textured surface is recommended for dry media: pencil, charcoal, pastel and wet media: pen & ink, and light washes. 100% recycled, acid free.
